I've been ruminating on this idea;

if most people agree that you cannot love someone until you love yourself,

wouldn't it make sense, by the same logic, that you can only love someone as much as you love yourself. Going further, whether I will lose you or not, doesn't it also make sense you will be loved approximately the same as you love yourself. Say this weren't true, not at all, wouldn't you imagine, and convince yourself as much as what seems logical/possible. Not so much, "we accept the love we think we deserve" as "we create the love we find feasible for us to have".
