At Sea: A Shitty Rhyming Analogy

for whatever reason, friendships seem to be a boat on an angry sea
someone's gotta drive and steer, and it's between them and me
I could conjure more salt water cause some for whatever reason haven't accepted defeat
while I'm busy creating icebergs, rocks, violent waves and tangled reefs
some just keep floating and preserving
through the blatant havoc I care enough to reek
I'm never one for steering unless aimed at some underwater mountain's peak
rambling nothings whether or not they choose to speak
so this is my thanks, for the limbs that went out on
when I went out to walk the planks
and whatever was brooding more the sea or myself
there was a shipmate there, sometimes just to help

I said we'll never find treasure, leave me, you'd be off better,
and the longer we're out here I assure you the worse the weather
and someone's gotta drive and steer
and keep it together
