jumping through hoops
I just nearly drowned
in the water under the bridge
and all hope is diminished
every single night
blinded by the light at the end of the tunnel
I crawl onward
threw my life saving
into the wishing well
after jumping off of the bridge's edge
and barely making it out of the waves
I lived underneath it
taking years to understand
that I in fact do belong atop it
