The World

"The Fool turns to take that final step along his final path, and finds, to his bemusement, that he is right back where he started, at the edge of that very same cliff he almost stepped over when he was young and too foolish to look where he was going. But now he sees his position very differently. He thought he could separate body and mind, learn all about one, then leave it to learn about the other. But in the end, it is all about the self: mind and body, past and future, the individual, and the world."
"Upright, the World represents completion. When reversed, however, the World suggests that you are trying to achieve completion in your life but you may not be taking all the steps necessary to achieve your goals. There is a tendency to take the easiest or quickest path to attain your goal but often this does not lead to the outcome you had originally intended. Instead, through facing up to the challenges along the way, you will learn and grow exponentially and will feel such an amazing sense of achievement when you finally make it to your goal. So, do not be afraid to set yourself ‘stretch’ goals, even if it means enduring hardships or challenges along the way. This will make victory even sweeter. The reversed World can also indicate a time when you are close to reaching completion but for whatever reason, you lose focus and slack off right at the end. You only have a short way to go, so why lose focus now? Re-energise yourself and remind yourself how wonderful life will be when you have finally reached your goal. You may also be experiencing a lack of closure in your life, preventing you from embarking on the next journey or challenge. I often see this reversed card when a relationship suddenly comes to an end without explanation. The partner cannot make sense of what has happened and is struggling to come to terms with the end of the relationship. Things are left unsaid and people are left hanging, not knowing what to expect or where they stand. If you see the reversed World in a reading, look to the other cards in the reading to identify what needs closure and how you can finally reach your point of completion. Sometimes, the reversed World can indicate that desired change will be delayed and that more time and energy must be devoted to your project or life transition before you can experience the promised completion. This may feel very frustrating but patience and perseverance will pay off in the end. You may feel stifled, even trapped but do not give up. Keep on a steady course for now."
"Your movement and growth have been slowed down to the point of being stopped because of your refusal to explore new horizons. You are experiencing information "overload" which is creating confusion and indecision. Be willing now to try new ideas or your own fear will create the inability to increase your spiritual growth. You have experienced many lessons in your lifetime - trust that you have learned from them and stop resisting change - it is always beneficial! When you need encouragement - cry out for help! Try something different, be willing to accept other people's ideas as well as your own. They are here to assist you in whatever you wish to accomplish - they are here to bring you to your heart's desire. Be confident in the process. To make full use of your power, you must first have a clear image of what you want so that you can quickly eliminate anything that doesn't conform to that picture. Remove the emotional blocks. Your "inner" voice will fight you when you begin to put road blocks in the way of the good that you could have. You can not ask for anything more than the best that Life has to offer and you must be willing to turn to it with confident expectancy. You may be at a standstill for the moment - but the freedom and the rapture of the World always exists in potential and will be released when you feel ready to begin the dance of life again. Practice being yourself, develop the creativity that comes from your center and allow yourself to enjoy it. Be willing now to express yourself completely and trust in the Power that gave it to you. Don't worry about what other people say - what they think about your creations is not relevant. The independence of your spirit is essential in your growth, you take the sting out of your inner problems by airing them and recognizing them for what they are. See clearly now that the World represents a goal - it represents hope and intuition - the way to that goal lies in the images of your "inner" Self. Accept the mystery and magic of the Universe, have faith in the "inexplicable" - see beyond the physical eye. Naivete. Sin of Pride. Having missed the mark and either aware or unaware of that fact. At one extreme, hubris, arrogance. At the other extreme, lack of confidence, poor self- esteem/self-worth, inability to accept a compliment, praise, a reward. What are you doing to free yourself from the limitations and restrictions in your life? What are you doing to work freely within them? What potential do you see in yourself and in the world? What physical needs must you take care of? What is making you dance for joy?"
"Perhaps it’s your world that feels upside down right now?"        "Chaos ever been your friend?"
"In a fantasy world, you always risk the chance of avoiding new perspectives, not because your imagination is inactive, but because it is an illusionist. An emotional situation in your life is asking that you take responsibility for your feelings. Do not deny when you are feeling afraid, excited, hopeful, nervous, or anxious. These states are signals that it's time to move beyond your expectations. The freedom you seek is within the entirety of this situation; stop focusing on what you don't have and use what you do. The weekend of the 13th is like a dream come true—enjoy!"
